The New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic and Assistance Foundation (NOMC&AF) and CrescentCare are pleased to announce a new partnership beginning July 1, 2025, to provide comprehensive, community-rooted healthcare to musicians, culture bearers, and their families across the Greater New Orleans area.

This collaboration brings together two beloved New Orleans institutions with a shared mission: to honor and care for the people who make this city sing, dance, and come alive.

Under this new partnership, NOMC&AF patients will begin receiving care through CrescentCare, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) known for its team-based approach and holistic wraparound services. With a seamless integration of primary care, mental health, dental care and social services, patients will experience a more expansive model of care that supports both their health and well-being.

“We are thrilled to welcome our city’s musicians and culture bearers into our care at CrescentCare,” said Alice Riener, CEO of CrescentCare. “Our clinics were built to reflect the vibrant spirit of our patients—not just through high-quality healthcare, but through art, music, and connection. This partnership represents a beautiful blend of health and culture, rooted in the very soul of New Orleans.”

For over 20 years, the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic and Assistance Foundation (NOMC&AF) has operated as the non-profit fundraising organization over the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic (NOMC). The mission has always been to ensure that the city’s artists have access to the healthcare they need. Under a formal agreement that will end on June 30, 2025, primary care and specialty services to musicians and cultural bearers were provided by LSU Healthcare Network. A strategic decision was made by the NOMC&AF board to partner with CrescentCare and implement a new business model that would allow it to continue the critical role of providing the musician community with access to medical care and other services. This new direction strengthens the NOMC&AF mission by providing enhanced services through CrescentCare’s compassionate and affordable care model.

Dr. Peggy A. Honoré, Board Chair of NOMC&AF, shared, “This strategic decision to partner with CrescentCare gives NOMC&AF the financial stability to provide medical care access, public health interventions, and social services to another generation of musicians, and culture bearers,” said Honoré.

Beginning July 1, 2025, all patients formerly receiving care through the LSU Healthcare Network with NOMC’s support will transition to CrescentCare. The CrescentCare Mid-City clinic, located at 2515 Canal Street, will serve as the central care location. Patients can schedule appointments now by calling (504) 821-2601 or find more information about CrescentCare by visiting www.crescentcare.org. NOMC remains available for support and guidance during the transition at (504) 415-3514 or [email protected].

This exciting partnership honors the past while investing in the future—ensuring that the heartbeat of New Orleans, its musicians and culture bearers, continue to receive the care they deserve.
